P. Allen Smith is an award winning designer who studied Garden History and Design in England where he became a Certified Fellow of the Royal Horticultural Society. He is the author of 5 best-selling books in his Garden Home series. His design firm, P. Allen Smith & Associates, creates homes and gardens across the country. Much of his work is featured in his two nationally syndicated television shows, P. Allen Smith Garden Home and P. Allen Smith’s Gardens. He is also a frequent guest on NBC's Today Show. He has just completed a Greek Revival style homestead that he designed for the purpose of demonstrating methods of land stewardship, heritage livestock breed preservation, as well as sustainable and organic gardening practices. Because of his interest and work in the preservation of historic property, he is currently a board member of the Royal Oak foundation, a support organization for the National Trust of England, Scotland and Wales.
